I read those words somewhere this week.

 Struggles and blessings co-exist. Always.

When it comes to adoption we can all say this is especially true.  No one adopts because it is easy:  It’s not easy in the preparations and waiting and it’s not easy in the adjustments and parenting.

We don’t adopt because it is easy, we adopt because it is GOOD and it is WORTH IT.  Always.

Sometimes the good moments and great days abound.

Sometimes good days are scarce.  For some the sun only peaks through the clouds every now and then and they have to remember what that warmth felt like in order to find hope for another day.

In either case, there are blessings.

We are blessed in the moments of genuine affection and growing trust.  We can say it is GOOD.

We are blessed in the moments of uncontrolled grief, fear, and survival tactics.  We can say it is WORTH IT.

Find strength in the one who said you were GOOD and WORTH IT.  Love and offer affection to your children in the sun and through the rain–blessing can be found in both.

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
