I have asked the Lord to break my heart with the things that breaks His…  He answered my
prayer…  He broke my heart for the 147 million orphaned children in the world.  He broke my
heart for the lost, for those who do not yet know Jesus, for those who die and go to hell.
It is a difficult thing to ask, it is a painful thing to receive… but is our God not worthy of
it? Are those that are suffering not worth it?  Must they suffer alone… or will you say, “Yes,
Lord.” when He calls you to be His hands and  feet here on the earth? Will you say, “Yes, Lord.”
when He calls you to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with someone who does not know Him?
Will you say, “Yes, Lord.” when He calls you to open your heart and your family to a precious
little one who has no family? Will you say, “Yes, Lord.” when He calls you to…? What is God
calling you to do? Whatever it may be, know that He is right there with you and HE will be the one
to give you what you need in order to say, “Yes, Lord.”
When you ask the Lord to fill you with His love for people… He will… and your heart will
over flow with joy for them in the good times and your heart will break with them in the bad…

Recently I held a sobbing mother in my arms who had just lost her 17 year old son, as she
cried out to the Lord, “Ayudame Jesus! Ayudame!”, (Help me Jesus! Help me!). At the
same time my husband was helping dig the young man’s grave. Our hearts are broken for
this woman and her family. We could not make it better, we could only join in with the others in the
community and show our support by praying for them, by being there, by crying with them, by
helping in what ever ways the Lord leads.  The more we allow the Lord to break our
hearts with the things that breaks His, the more we understand His love for us… the more we are
able to love others with His love… the more we are able to be His hands and feet here on the
earth…
