Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow.  God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.  Matthew 6:35 MSG

What a challenge this scripture presents, asking us who are prone to worry from one day to the next to trust God and focus on Him in the right now.   Hard times will come but Jesus asks us to just trust.  How challenging but how comforting to know that He is in control and is a constant help.

My children often ask an amazing amount of questions on any given day.  Where are we going next?  Who was that on the phone?  What time are you getting me up tomorrow?   One of my children would even love to know what is on the menu for every meal for the next year.  Not. even. kidding.  I often find myself telling them, “Just trust that I will take care of you.  You don’t need to know everything that is going to happen, just know that you will be taken care of.”

This is the same advice Jesus gives to me.  Don’t worry about tomorrow, focus on me right now.
