Last December, we were matched with Bereket and Bikiltu. We thought we would get a court date by April but did not. We learned, along the way, that there is a problem with their paperwork. It is essentially a discrepancy as to whether their father is alive or not. They are in an orphanage and haven’t seen this man in well over two years but we cannot move forward until this gets resolved. We believe it will be resolved but we don’t know how long it will take.
While we have been waiting, we realize that our paperwork will expire within a few months. Our paperwork shows that we are approved for three kids. Since we don’t know how long this will take, we have decided to adopt a little girl while we are waiting. Her name is Danze. We are very excited. We will find out in the next couple of weeks when our court date will be.
We would love if you would join us in praying that Bereket and Bikiltu’s paperwork will get cleared up in the next few weeks. Our dream and prayer is that we could bring all three of them home at once!
