Hebrews 12:2 is my life verse. It says this, “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning the shame, to sit at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Often in the day, I will find myself repeating, “fix your eyes on Jesus” and it always helps. Then, sometimes, that thought turns into the old hymn, “Turn your Eyes upon Jesus….look full in his wonderful face, and the things of Earth will grow strangely dim in the light of his glory and grace.” And then I consider His glory and grace….and how small I am in that.
