Comment: Christmas with a Cause

Christmas for a Cause is a free walk-through Christmas light display that will be located at Peoples Bank in Sioux Center. The display will run from Friday, November 25, 2022, until Monday, January 2, 2023, from 5:00-10:00 PM each night.

“Part of our core values at Peoples Bank is to, ‘enrich families and communities’, and this event truly embraces that,” said Peoples Bank Sioux Center President Dale Vander Berg. “This is a free family-friendly walk-through event where everyone can enjoy the Christmas light displays and have an opportunity to support Katelyn’s Fund.”

“We are so honored that Peoples Bank has chosen to partner with Katelyn’s Fund in this way,” says Katelyn’s Fund Founder Sheila De Jong.

“I appreciate the dual purpose of Christmas for a Cause,” continued De Jong. “It’s an event that brings families together, and it also brings awareness to those in great need. God continues to bring people and businesses to partner with us, and we are so grateful!”

Last year was the first year for the event which brought around 5,000 people, and there will be even more light displays to be enjoyed this year!

While Christmas for a Cause is free, attendees can support Katelyn’s Fund by giving a freewill donation at the event and through this website page.

There will be a hot chocolate stand for the first four weekends for a freewill donation to Katelyn’s Fund. The hot chocolate stand will be open from 6:00-9:00 PM on the following weekends and dates: November 25 & 26 and December 2 & 3, 8-10 (Sioux Center’s 1st Annual Hometown Holidays), and 16 & 17, and December 23 & 30.
