We would like to share the stories of some of our grant recipients. Enjoy and be encouraged as you hear their stories.
About 2 years ago our family grew from 6 to 8. Through our journey of adoption from Ethiopia, God began a work in us we could have never imagined. Now our sons Deginet and Biruk have blessed our family beyond measure. It has been amazing to watch them grow and thrive. We are so grateful God is allowing us to be a part of it. In November we began to feel we were not done growing our family through adoption. God has opened our hearts and eyes to the many children who are without a family. Our son Deginet prays every night “for the kids with no family”. We began the process to adopt from Ethiopia again back in January. We have accepted a referral for a 6 year old little girl. We are keeping her birth name but cannot share it or her picture just yet, but her middle name will be Marah. We are waiting on our court date to travel in October when we will officially adopt her. We are hoping she will be home in January 2014. Katelyn’s Fund has blessed our family by coming along side us and helping relieve some of the financial cost involved. The encouraging words and prayer from Katelyn’s Fund have had a huge impact on us through this journey. We specifically asked Katelyn’s fund to pray that God would impact others hearts in our church to move on behalf of the orphan. Since they started praying for us, Melissa has been asked to speak at the women’s breakfast. We are also talking with the pastors and planning for Orphan Sunday to raise awareness in the church. We have also met with other couples who are considering adoption. We are Praising God for all these things happening. We feel truly blessed to have Katelyn’s Fund along side us in this journey financially , prayerfully, and spiritually! Thank You so much from the bottom of our hearts.
