Being itinerant workers with a linguistic organization in Africa working on Bible translation, living by the financial and prayer support of dear friends and churches mostly in the USA, and knowing that our organization has a 'no debt policy', we knew that the financial end of our international adoption would require several small miracles from God. And Katelyn's Fund has played a huge role of encouraging us along that journey, particularly with the financing of the adoption.
As of the end of September, we are first on the waiting list of our adoption agency for a baby boy from Ethiopia, and we await a referral. Our current adoption agency is actually the second agency that we are going through for this adoption, since our first one closed due to problems renewing their Ethiopian adoption license. Which is to say, we have had several ups and downs along the process.
So, it is not lightly that we say we received great encouragement from Katelyn's Fund. We interviewed with them the end of June and heard back from them July 6th that they would be contributing towards our adoption, a timely help as our agency fees were due, and we were not sure how we would pay them.
