We were ready to start growing a family after being married for a few years. We found out we were pregnant in 2021 but ended up having a miscarriage with our baby boy, Malachi. After taking time to grieve and lean on the Lord, we tried again. Throughout 2022, we had to see a fertility specialist for multiple types of tests. In the fall of 2023, we found out we were pregnant again after doing the last duration of fertility medication before moving on to other options. However, we ended up having another miscarriage. After both miscarriages, we were given advice of what our options could be. Andrea was not a candidate for IVF due to her congenital heart defect.
After going through two miscarriages, we felt that God was bringing back some familiar conversations about adoption. We felt peace and calm and knew that this would be our journey to grow a family. We fully believe that adoption is what God has called us to do. Not only to have a family of our own but also to mold him/her into the person God wants them to be. No matter what baby/child we get matched with, we will teach him/her the love of God and how to develop a personal, intimate relationship with him.
Katelyn’s Fund is playing a significant role in our adoption. They are a huge blessing. They have prayed for us and are always encouraging us. This grant is helping ease some of the financial burden so that we can continue to prepare ourselves and our home for our future child. Thank you so much, and we can’t wait to see the amazing plan that God has for us.
adoption journey hasn’t always been easy, but we have seen God’s hand in everything. We have learned to let go of control and to lean into God for his perfect plan to unfold and in his timing. We have been challenged and strengthened throughout. We have learned about many different situations that the adopted child may face as they grow up and how to handle them accordingly.
