David and Sarah
What a tremendous blessing Katelyn’s Fund has been to our family! This isn’t the first time that we have received a grant from Katelyn’s Fund. After each of our interviews with Katelyn’s Fund board members, my husband, David, and I have expressed to one another how encouraged we were by the prayers and support of every person associated with Katelyn’s Fund. Katelyn’s Fund truly shows and expresses the Lord’s heart as they partner with adoptive families.
We currently have eight children, seven of whom have joined our family through the blessing of adoption. We started an adoption from China in 2020 and are still waiting for our little girl. It has been a difficult four years, but we know that God cares for this sweet child more than we ever could. So, while we still wait for our precious “Shalom” in China, we have begun another adoption of a little boy in Poland. Little “N” has cerebral palsy and is at risk of being moved to an adult facility. His greatest wish is for a family, and we are honored that we get to be that family! We are scrambling to update our home study and immigration approval, as well as raise funds and complete our dossier. All of this seems impossible in the natural, but God has been faithful to us over and over again. We know that He will be faithful again, and we are so grateful for the part that those who love God and his children play in this adoption. Thank you, Katelyn’s Fund!
Now that we are pursuing a concurrent adoption, we are leaning into God’s faithfulness to bring our little boy home. Shalom was supposed to be our last child, but God had something different in mind. We are thrilled to be able to adopt “N” and pray that someday, God allows us to adopt our Shalom, as well.
