In 2020, we felt led to adoption, so we began the process right away! We brought our son home in July of 2022 and it was the greatest season of our lives. Now that our son is 2 years old, we would love to provide a sibling for him! When we sat down and looked at the cost of adoption and our finances, we realized that we would need to depend on the Lord to provide. We began looking for grants and applying to as many as we found! When we received an interview with Katelyn’s Fund, we were so grateful to be considered for this blessing of a financial grant. During our interview, we felt so encouraged and blessed by our interviewers. They were incredibly sweet and even prayed with us at the end of the interview! Afterward, we said, “Even if we don’t get the grant, we feel like that interview was God’s way of encouraging us to keep going and keep following His lead in our lives.” A couple of days later, we got an email congratulating us for receiving the grant, and we felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude! God is so faithful to provide. Not only did he provide financially, but also spiritually as He spoke through our interview. The stress of finances has been made lighter by Katelyn’s Fund, and we are so thankful for everyone who has a part in making this ministry possible. From the bottom of our hearts..thank you!
The biggest lesson we have learned through our adoption journey is that God’s timing and God’s plan is best. It is worth it to wait on Him and trust Him through the process! As much as we want to bring a baby home as soon as possible, we continually pray that God’s will be done, not ours. He has been faithful, and we know he will continue to be!
