We are currently in the process of our third adoption. With three biological children and two adopted children already in our home, the Lord spoke to us again, asking us to step forward with an obedient yes to another adoption. We knew this was His calling, and as we listened, He made it clear that this time, we were to keep siblings together. He later revealed that it would be a sibling set of four children.
At first, the reality of nearly doubling the size of our family was overwhelming. It felt impossible to our flesh, but in His consistent faithfulness, God assured us He would provide. We trusted in His promise, even when the road ahead seemed uncertain. In the midst of this journey, we were introduced to Katelyn’s Fund, and we quickly saw what a beautiful ministry it is. They partner with families like ours to bring children home, and we are incredibly grateful for their support. Through Katelyn’s Fund, we’ve received not only financial assistance but also prayers from their team, lifting us up in this challenging but joyful process of adoption. It is only by God’s grace and through ministries like Katelyn’s Fund that families like ours are able to meet the financial needs of adoption.
We are so thankful to God for leading us to this incredible organization, which has blessed us immensely. Thanks to their support, we are able to welcome these four siblings into our family, allowing them to remain together and continue their journey in life, bound by love and unity. We praise God for His provision, for the work of Katelyn’s Fund, and for the opportunity to say “yes” to this beautiful calling.
We have had the honor of experiencing God’s faithfulness and refinement in ways we might never have had if we had not said yes. Every adoption begins with an obedient “yes” to God’s call. That “yes” is often not an easy decision—it might come with doubts and fears. But in saying yes, we get to play a part in God’s greater story and become part of His redemptive work in a very tangible way. The child or children who are adopted become a part of God’s Kingdom story as the adoptive parents, we have the privilege of playing a role in that divine plan. Adoption is such a powerful picture of God’s love for us.
In the same way that God adopts us into His family, He calls us to adopt and welcome others into our families. It’s a beautiful reminder of the gospel and the love God shows to us, taking us in when we were orphans and making us heirs with Christ. Adoption doesn’t just change the life of the child; it transforms the entire family. It teaches siblings, parents, and the extended family about grace, forgiveness, and family unity in a deeper way.
