On Sunday, November 10, we gathered together for Belong Sunday—a special day dedicated to embracing the beauty of adoption and reminding ourselves of the transformative power of God’s love. It was a time to reflect on what it truly means to belong, not just in earthly families but in God’s greater story.

A highlight was hearing from the Mannchen Family, a beautiful testament to how God brings people together across borders, cultures, and languages. Liz and Uli Mannchen shared their family’s powerful journey of faith, adoption, and perseverance. Through their ministry, Lionhood, and their business, Live As Lions, they have dedicated themselves to serving at-risk children and supporting vulnerable families worldwide.

The Mannchens’ story is one of unwavering faith. After facing years of trials and four failed adoptions, they remained steadfast in their dream of growing their family. In 2019, they welcomed their daughter Bo Bei from China into their lives, and more recently, they were blessed to adopt Aima, a 2-year-old girl from India. Their multicultural family is a living testament to God’s faithfulness, showing that love knows no borders.

During the service, Liz spoke candidly about their experiences: the heartache, the joy, and everything in between. If you missed the service, you can watch the video here.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Belong Sunday, whether in person or through prayer and support. This day reminded us that no matter our background, we all have a place in God’s family. We hope the message shared continues to resonate in your hearts and inspire you to live boldly.
