September 12 – Know, Love, Speak, Do – Loren DeJong
So often we fall into the trap of living in our day-to-day circumstances with a tendency to focus on our own problems and difficulties. Loren challenged us to remember that this is God’s story, and He has invited us to be a part of it. God wants your heart and your child’s heart. He wants you to live in total dependence on Him. We can live with the confidence in knowing that on days that we mess up, God offers grace and redemption. He will give us all we need to look beyond the behaviors of our child, our spouse, our coworker, and focus on their hearts.
