Adoption Grants

If you would like to apply, please fill out the online application and attach all items listed under “Criteria and Guidelines” on the website or applications will not be reviewed.

To be considered for an adoption grant from Katelyn’s Fund, families must submit an online application and, if chosen, participate in an interview. If the family lives within 120 miles of Sioux Center, IA, the interview will happen in person. If the applicant lives farther than that, interview will be done via Skype.

The application and interview will occur:

  1. WITHIN 45 days of child being placed in your home for all domestic placements
  2. BEFORE final travel for all international placements

Please be aware that the application process could take 2-3 months. We suggest applying as soon as you have an approved home study.

The number of requests far outweigh the number of resources we have available. We give higher priority to families who make less than $100,000 a year as we have so many applicants.

It is the responsibility of the applicants to make sure all materials are included with the online application and on the application checklist. We will not process any applications that are missing items. Applications that are incomplete will not be reviewed.

Due to the sheer number of applicants, we are not able to respond to inquiries about the status of your application or about checking on items needed.
