Adoption has always held a special place in our hearts. Michael was adopted by his stepfather at a young age, and Danielle has long felt called to adopt, with several adopted family members shaping that conviction. After years of infertility and walking through the pain of three miscarriages, we surrendered our journey to God, trusting in His perfect plan. In His faithfulness, God turned our sorrow into joy and led us to adoption. We received clear signs along the way, including discovering our first daughter was only two hours away. On the drive to meet her, sunbeams broke through the clouds—reminding us of God’s presence. She was born just before Danielle’s birthday, and Danielle held her daughter for the first time on her 34th birthday—an unforgettable gift. A year and a half later, we felt called to adopt again. Just two days after signing with an agency, we matched with a baby due in the very city where we met and fell in love. Her due date is just two days before Michael’s birthday—another beautiful sign of God’s hand in our journey. Katelyn’s Fund has been an incredible blessing, helping lift the financial burden so we could say “yes” again. Their support is part of our story now, and we are so thankful for how this organization walks alongside adoptive families like ours with prayer, encouragement, and provision.
We have felt God’s hand guiding us through this entire journey. Even during the darkest moments of our infertility, we experienced His love and presence. Though we didn’t understand the “why” at the time, we trusted that He had a greater plan for us. During our first adoption, we faced many challenges and moments of uncertainty. But through prayer and surrendering our hearts and plans to Him, He faithfully carried us through. That journey led us to our beautiful daughter, and we are forever grateful. As we approached a second adoption, we again turned to God in prayer — asking for clarity, timing, and financial provision. He answered in ways that confirmed His perfect plan: leading us to the right match and blessing us with support we didn’t expect. Through it all, we’ve learned to trust more deeply in His timing, provision, and purpose. Adoption has opened our eyes to how He works in ways we couldn’t have imagined. We are so excited to see how this next chapter unfolds and continue walking in faith.
