Adoption has always been on our hearts. Anyone who knows me well has heard me say from a very young age that I want a big family. My heart has never swayed from this yearning. I believe God gives big dreams to His children, and it’s a dream of my family to have a fourth baby through the adoption process. David is a product of adoption. Thanks to his amazing adoptive parents, he was given the opportunity to grow and thrive in a stable, loving home. We want to be that home for a precious little one. There is no greater calling on our life than to be Mom and Dad to a bunch of beautiful babies and with your support, we believe this dream will come to life.
Katelyn’s Fund has played an important role and a stepping stone in our fundraising process to make this dream a reality. We are so grateful to them for their generosity and their discipleship as they’ve encouraged us to lean into God’s promises and plans.
God has taught us so much throughout this adoption process. We have learned how to wait on God’s timing and lean into His perfect plan for our family. We have become a stronger couple and our prayer life together has strengthened. We have learned how much beauty there is in the waiting, and it creates a dependency on our Heavenly Father. We have made lifelong friendships and have gotten to connect with people and organizations we would have never encountered if we hadn’t said yes to God calling our family towards adoption. God’s faithfulness has shown up in every step in this process for us and we have never felt more sure about this next step for our family.
