Katelyn's Vision
The heart of this ministry lies within its name. Not only with one child, our daughter, Katelyn...one of God's children, who was once an orphan and was claimed by our God, but also for all of the other children that are orphaned. This is a ministry in memory of Katelyn Estrella, the twin sister of Elizabeth. Katelyn is no longer with us on earth but is living with our Heavenly Father. We seek to help other children in loving memory of her.
The simple definition of Katelyn's Fund would be to bring orphan awareness to others, provide emotional and prayer support to families, and assist Christian families with the high costs of adoptions...although the ministry of Katelyn's Fund is so much more. As we seek to capture the heart of adoption, we are devoted to actively and boldly speak of God's loving call for us as His adoptive children.
Awareness:
We are living in a time with the highest orphan rate in history. There are millions of children waiting, locally and abroad, who are desperate for God's love and care. Katelyn's Fund is a ministry that speaks on behalf of these children and is committed to helping orphans find loving, Christian homes.
We are dedicated to making a difference .... one child at a time.
Financial:
Adoption is very expensive and many families do not have the financial resources to adopt a child. The cost of any adoption can range from $20,000 to $35,000. Through the donations from various families, churches, and communities, Katelyn's Fund has been given the opportunity to provide grants to several Christian families. God is greatly widening His territory in bringing applicants to the ministry and we trust God will continue to provide.
Support:
While the financial grants are a big part of our efforts to assist families, it is only a portion of what we envision the orphan ministry to be. Another integral piece is the emotional and prayer support to adoptive families. These families come from all different paths of adoption with diverse experiences and God has brought a great commonality among them. We have been blessed as a ministry to walk beside so many families and share in their spiritual and adoptive journey.
