Good Morning!

It is Sunday morning here – we had thunderstorms with a lot of rain during the night.

Our bad news on Friday was that the mother of our children can not be found.  CHSFS has tried to locate her but no one knows where she is.  That is why I am posting this morning and not on the road to Hosanna.  Marvella and Britta went just to see and take pictures in the country.  The rest of us are going to do more shopping and maybe take in a museum.

We were very saddened when we received the news of Misgana and Sara’s mother.  But after we thought about this we realized that what we are doing is all the more important for these precious children – God is great and has certainly blessed us!

When we were at the Care Center yesterday, we had the oppurtunity to play with many of the orphans during their play time.  Many of the children sat on my lap just yearning to be held and loved.  Many of them gave me kisses on the cheek and hugged me.  Believe me that the nannies here are just awesome at the Care Center but can not hold and love all of them as much as they all need.  And yes – I wanted to take them all home!

Thank you again to all of you for praying for us.  Lennis

What a pic! So anxious to see all of you–what a great family. Have been thinking of you everyday and the kids all look great! God bless you all. Will pray for all of you and have a safe trip back to Iowa. We’ve had lots of snow–can you believe it! Going to be nice by the weekend though.

Happy Birthday Britta,
I’m sorry that the twins’ first mom wasn’t able to meet you in person. I am glad that some of you will travel to see the south.
I hope you were able to find some cool reminders of ET in the shops in Addis. It is an amazing place. You’ll never forget it!

Hello Harberts family. I am so excited for your family and can’t believe you are finally getting to meet your new babies! They are adorable. I hope all is going well and that you have a great family trip and that everyone stays healthy and safe. We look foward to meeting the little ones when you are settled in at home. God’s blessings to you all.

Marvella, I’m sure you are already making lists for the trip home for everyone, add another thing to your list…..sand for Cheryl….please. That would be a nice thing also for you to have on your mantel for years to come to remind everyone of God’s blessings on your family.(take care…everything is fine at your house…except I messed up your organized cupboards!! Just kidding!!;-)

Happy Birthday Britta!! By the time you read this it probably won’t even be your birthday anymore, but we hope you had a great day spending time with your mom. Paul, Ang, Drew, Ethan, Dalton, and Brandon
